FLASH was founded by wine importers Michelle Negrón and Ariana Rolich, “in order to align their professional passions and personal goals, to make a wine and donate a portion of proceeds to charity providing aid to Puerto Rico” (Michelle is Puerto Rican) through the organization ConPRmetidos www.conprmetidos.org
Ariana and Michelle created FLASH following the disasters of Hurricane Maria, the earthquakes that began in January 2020, and the fall-out from the Coronavirus pandemic. FLASH is their small attempt to mitigate present, ongoing, and historic devastation to the island that is compounded by systemic government neglect.
This vibrant pink is a blend of organically farmed Macabeo, Garnatxa Blanca and Negra, Syrah, Cabernet, Carignan, Garntxa Peluda, and Morenillo. Grapes are co-fermented with native yeasts then raised in stainless steel for 6 months on the lees before being bottled unfiltered and unfined. It’s savory, herbal, lively, dry, and delicious.
