This crianza is 95% Tempranillo, 3% Graciano, and 2% Garnacha from a combination of three vineyards, “El Codo”, “El Llano” and “Finca Iscorta”, with an average age of 40 years. The grapes are destemmed then crushed and fermented naturally with wild yeast in stainless steel tanks. It’s then aged in used American oak for 2 years and hand racked 4 times by means of the traditional “barrel to barrel” method. It’s bottled unfiltered and unfined, then ages for at least an additional 18 months before being released. Pedro Peciña's wines are described as displaying warmth, generosity, and velvety textures; this wine lives up to that description.
